Terms of Service
Last updated 30 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you use MAUNi - London Recovery Coaching and any site on the mauniuact.com family of domains, londonrecoverycoaching.com, or any partner portal we operate on the same platform (together, the “Services”), provided by David Collins Coaching, Ubuntu Academy Coaching & Training CIC, and MAUNi GGZ B.V. (together, “MAUNi,” “we,” “us”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. What MAUNi is — and isn’t
MAUNi is a human-led, AI-supported recovery coaching, training, and referral ecosystem. Our AI assistants (including the MAUNi GPT, Claude, and Grok-branded workspaces) answer from an approved knowledge base to help you orient, learn, and find a useful next step.
The Services are not:
- a medical, clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic service;
- a crisis, emergency, or safeguarding response service;
- a replacement for a qualified human coach, clinician, or professional; or
- a guarantee of any particular outcome from coaching, training, or certification.
If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on the Services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account, whether you sign in with a password, magic link, WhatsApp, or a third-party account such as Google, Apple, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- share another person’s personal, medical, or safeguarding information without their consent;
- use the Services to harass, harm, or endanger yourself or others;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access;
- misrepresent your qualifications, role, or affiliation with MAUNi or a partner organisation; or
- use automated tools to scrape, overload, or interfere with the Services.
4. AI assistants
Our AI assistants are grounded in an approved MAUNi/U-ACT knowledge base and will tell you when a question is better answered by a human. Even so, AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. They are provided for information and orientation only and do not constitute professional, medical, legal, or clinical advice. Please do not enter identifiable personal, medical, or safeguarding information into chat features.
5. Coaching, training, and certification
Where you engage a human coach, join training, or work toward MAUNi Certified status, additional terms specific to that programme (for example course terms or CLERO membership terms) may apply alongside these Terms. Certification, competence assessment, and professional registration decisions are made independently of account creation or course sign-up.
6. Content and intellectual property
The MAUNi methodology, training materials, and platform content are owned by MAUNi and our licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial learning use unless we agree otherwise in writing. Content you submit (such as journal entries or reflections) remains yours; you grant us a licence to store and process it to provide the Services.
7. Third-party services
The Services integrate with third-party platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and Zoom. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own terms, and MAUNi is not responsible for their availability or content.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the safety of our community.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAUNi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
10. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, reflecting Ubuntu Academy Coaching & Training CIC’s registration, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law that applies in your own country of residence. If you need this confirmed for a specific contract or jurisdiction, please contact us.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date above when we do, and significant changes will be highlighted on our Services.
